Toyota Reportedly Ready to Get Android Auto Support

Toyota may finally ease off and allow Android Auto to work in its cars, according to reports. An official announcement is reportedly expected as soon as next month.

The Japanese automaker was one of the last major automakers to announce CarPlay compatibility. After fending off for years, Toyota announced at the start of this year that Apple’s own car infotainment service would show up in its cars starting with the 2019 Avalon.

However, the company has continued to give a wide berth to Android Auto with security concerns being cited as one of the reasons for the delayed adoption.
