Increase in Toll Tax Rates on National Highway and Motorways

The national highways authority has increased the toll tax rates by up to 10% across the country. The authority has cited the inflation and the requirement for more funds for the road maintenance behind the increase.

The decision of increasing rates was made in a meeting chaired by Chairman Jawad Rafique. The revenue generated by new taxes will be used for the maintenance of the national highways and motorways.
