US Dollar, Yen Climb amid G-7 Fracas

The US dollar gained on Friday last week after a four-day losing streak, while the safe-haven yen gained as the investors grew cautious over what was expected to be a heated G-7 meeting in Canada on Friday.

Despite the gains on Friday, dollar posted its largest weekly drop since late March.
