Tesla Recalls over 800,000 vehicles to Repair Faulty Seat Belts
Tesla is recalling its 2021-2022 Model S sedan and 2022 Model X, Model 3 2017-2022, and 2020-2022 Model Y sedans due to seat belt failure. The problem is that the horn may not sound when the car is started and the driver has not fastened the seat belt. Tesla was the first automaker to offer an over-the-air software update, so luckily the seat belt horn issue can be resolved without requiring owners to drive their Tesla to a service appointment. The fix will be made with an over-the-air software update, which will be free.
