Research Shows EVs are Affordable But Expensive to Repair
According to company research, owning an electric car can be more expensive than an internal combustion engine vehicle when you consider maintenance costs (when the car goes for repairs) and maintenance costs (wear and tear). Over a three-month period, the company found that it costs 2.3 times more to maintain electric vehicles than vehicles with combustion engines. After 12 months, maintenance costs for electric vehicles are still 1.6 times higher than those for gasoline-powered vehicles. Maintenance fees for an electric vehicle average $ 306, while for a gasoline vehicle it is $ 189. On the other hand, maintenance costs for electric vehicles are lower compared to gas vehicles. On average, electric vehicle owners spend $ 7 to maintain their vehicle during the first year of ownership. Gas car owners spend $ 30 over the same period. It wasn't long. We expect this number to grow over the next few years as combustion engines require a lot of maintenance over a distance of about 100,000 miles, but long-term data on electric vehicles is not yet available.
