The Non-Profit Research Group Found California to be the Most Electric Vehicle-Friendly State
Electric vehicles are a relatively new option on the market. Due to their high price and relatively low range compared to petrol cars, they are not a popular choice in the US. However, some states offer better charging incentives and infrastructure than others, making them more electric vehicle-friendly. A new study by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a non-profit research and advocacy group, ranks 29 states to determine which allow the use of electric vehicles. Unsurprisingly, the results weren't all that surprising. According to the study, California was in the top ranking with a score of 91 out of 100. California is one of the few states that has established a timetable for electrifying transit buses, commercial vehicles, and heavy trucks.
