Ford to Build Mach-E Electric SUV in China for the Local Market

Ford Motor Co announced Wednesday that it will build a battery-powered Mach-E SUV in China for the local market. China is the largest auto market in the world. The Mach-E will be manufactured by Changan Ford for customers in China. It will be available to subscribers at the end of the year. The Chinese-made Mach-E will have an estimated range of more than 600 kilometers (372 miles). The Mach-E will also be equipped with Ford's latest driver assistance technology and an infotainment system that supports over the air (OTA) updates, so Mach-E will always run the latest software. Ford will also build a high-performance Mustang Mach-E GT edition in China. The high-performance GT edition will offer dual electric motors and an all-wheel drive, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds.
