The Mercedes-Benz EQS will be the first model sold under its new 'EQ' sub-brand in the United States.
The electrification strategy of German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is accelerating and the flagship brand is making serious progress with its electric motors. The automaker has announced that it plans to add fully electric versions of the Maybach, AMG, and G-Wagon panels to its portfolio in the near future. The EQC SUV won't be the only electric vehicle that Mercedes will offer in North America. Initially, the EQC was scheduled to make its US debut in 2020, but the launch has been delayed until 2021 due to the global pandemic. Instead, the Stuttgart-based automaker will introduce the EQS 2022 sedan in the spring of next year. The model is expected to hit dealerships across the United States in the summer of 2022.
