Punjab Government Offers Tax Incentives for Cars

The Punjab government has offered new motor vehicle tax incentives to provincial consumers. As part of the annual budget for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, the government declared that citizens could benefit from the 20% refund by paying their symbolic tax in a lump sum before August 31, 2020. In his speech, the Minister of Finance of Punjab Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht said that if someone had not paid the tax during this period, they would not be responsible for the fines if they paid the amount during the 2020-2021 fiscal year. The Minister also said that a 5% discount will be offered to consumers if they pay the total tax through the electronic system. The government has declared that this policy will remain in effect until June 30, 2021.
