Subaru using AGL Software For Infotainment System on New Subaru Outback and Legacy

The company has decided to use AGL Software (Automotive Grade Linux) for infotainment system of its new 2020 Subaru Outback and Subaru Legacy. Subaru will use Unified Code Base (UCD) Platform which is open source software of AGL. Automotive Grade Linux is a cross industry struggle for developing software for all connected car technologies which is based on open source platform.

The General Manager of Electronic Product Design of Subaru, Mr. Naoyoshi Motira said that the Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) open source software will give us opportunity to integrate new features like cockpit entertainment system which will be fun for driver and also help us to customize and enhance user experience.
