No Toll Fee will be Charged in Abu Dhabi until Jan 1st 2020
The Transport Department of Abu Dhabi Announced that the residents of the Abu Dhabi have to pay toll fee when going through certain bridges. The implementation of these rules started from 15th October of 2019 and date has already been passed long ago but they are not charging any travel fee due to some technical issues, although the toll gates are already setup and are operational.
According to the Gulf News, Abu Dhabi resident did not received their login details due to technical issues, all the data of the registered vehicle will automatically enrolled in the system and vehicle owner will receive their login details via SMS on their registered number. Those people who are not resident of Abu Dhabi are facing the same issue for registration.
So the transport department extended the date until 1st Jan 2020 and residents have to pay 4 AED per trip and 2 AED during off-peak hours. People who have low income, senior citizens and disabled persons will not be charged.
