Dubai Opens the UAE's First Floating Marine Transport Station

The UAE’s first floating marine transport station at Festival city has opened. It is part of the plans to expand facilities over the next two years.

The station will help passengers link with Creek Metro Station as well as bus services, engulfing different modes of transport.

According the Road and Transportation Authority, it has planned to build seven new marine transport stations at Business Bay, Dubai Water Canal and coastal areas over the next couple of years.

The RTA claims Dubai marine transit system is used by more than 14 million riders annually.
