Tyres Smuggling, Mis-Declaration and Under-invoicing Hurting Local Industry

The Chief Executive of Pakistan General Tyre and Rubber Company said that smuggling, mis-declaration and under invoicing is not only hurting it local tyres industry but also causing revenue loss of billions of rupees to the government.

He further added that due to this reason many local industries had either shut down or moved out , resulting in a loss of jobs and forging exchange.

The CEO called for curbing the sale of tyres in the open market without proper documentation.
