Toyota Reveals a Second Data Breach
Weeks after the attack in Australia, the Japanese automaker makes has revealed another data breach. The latest breach may have exposed the data on as many as 3.1 million customers.
In February, Toyota Australia revealed a cyber-attack. However, it is not yet clear whether the two incidents are related.
In the recent attempt, the hackers gained unauthorized access to several of its sale subsidiaries. The accessed servers contained information on up to 3 million customers that included names, date of birth and employment information. The investigation is underway.
The Japanese automaker has declined to say anything about who they believe performed the attacks.
