Toyota and Subaru Hopeful of Launching the Jointly Developed EVs by 2021
Toyota and Subaru are reportedly working on a new electric car, aiming to put the car on the market possibly by 2021.
The joint production of a midsize car is an expansion of their partnership in recent years in the development of basic EV technology.
Subaru is set to freeze its own EV development project due to the hefty costs of going solo. It has decided to gain experience by working with Toyota first.
The jointly developed EVs will be sold under their respective brands, according to the sources.
