New Electronic Number Plates to be introduced in Punjab

According to the reports, the Excise and Taxation Department of Punjab has decided to introduce new electronic SIM integrated number plates to restrain car theft from the province. 

The number plate will be displayed on the front of the car. A SIM card has been integrated into the number plate comprising the name of the owner, his address, engine number, chassis number and other important details.
