New Law to Regulate Auto Spare Parts from January

Auto part manufacturers, dealers and auto mechanics will have until the end of this year to submit to the new UAE Vehicle Control System that comes into effect from January 2019. It was said in after the announcement by the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology on Monday (ESMA).

The new system, which will ensure that forged auto parts are weeded out of the country, was scheduled to partially come into effect late last month. However, ESMA has granted more time to industry players to comply with the new regulation.
